Subject: Advances in Approximation Theory (AAT) has arrived

Dear Readers of NA Digest:

Probably you know already that "Journal of Approximation Theory"
(JAT), as we knew it, is dead, see jat.nevai.us. Most of JAT's former
editors joined forces to launch a new online successor of JAT that we
used to love and respect (but not anymore). It is published by
Stanford University Press and it is called "Advances in Approximation
Theory" (AAT) with Martin Buhmann, Feng Dai, András Kroó, and Sergey
Tikhonov as the Editors-in-Chief, see,

https://aat.journals.sup.org.

I and our editors will be super appreciative and grateful if you
helped us to make AAT viable, successful, and at least as respected as
JAT used to be, by submitting your papers related to Approximation
Theory to AAT.

You can register as an Author, Reviewer, and Reader at

https://aat.journals.sup.org/index.php/aat/user/register

Please contact AAT at aat@nevai.us if you have any questions.

We are looking forward to hearing from you and to processing your
papers at AAT. In addition, please spread the word among your
colleagues, coauthors, and friends. Please inform them and encourage
them to submit papers to AAT.

Gratefully, Paul Nevai

European Mathematical Society (EMS), and it is part of the project with the
same name. This project, funded by the EMS, aims to strengthen and promote
research collaboration between researchers based in different countries (also
outside the EU), to foster the involvement of young researchers within
established research groups of the TAG, and to create cross-national research
teams on topics of high current interest in NLA and applications. In particular,
the topics of this workshop are the following:

- Randomized NLA.
- Multilinear Algebra in Machine Learning.

- Quantum algorithms in NLA.

The workshop will include introductory and research-oriented talks on these
topics by renowned researchers in the field. There will also be sessions for
contributed talks by other participants, as well as for more interactive activities,
such as small group discussions or problem-driven working sessions.

A limited number of grants for early career researchers are available.

We strongly encourage you to attend the meeting. Everybody is welcome!
