Subject: New release of MOLE (v1.1.0)

We are thrilled to announce a new release of MOLE (v1.1.0). MOLE is an open-
source library that implements high-order mimetic operators. It provides
discrete analogs of the most common vector calculus
operators: divergence, gradient, curl, and Laplacian. These operators act on
functions discretized over
staggered grids (uniform, nonuniform, and curvilinear), and they satisfy local
and global conservation laws.
MOLE's operators can be utilized to develop code for solving partial differential
equations (PDEs).
MOLE Webpage is Live:

And the archival copy of the MOLE User Manual is published on Zenodo:

The MOLE community always welcomes users and collaborators.

Subject: Autumn School "Open-Source Codes for High-Performance Computing", Online, Sept 2025

The upcoming 2025 UKACM-GACM Autumn School on Open-Source Codes for
High-Performance Computing will take place online from September 29 to
October 2, 2025.The event is geared towards interested students, early-career
researchers, and colleagues working with or developing open-source
computational mechanics tools. Participation is free of charge, but registration
is required.

The school features several open-source frameworks:

[*] Day 1 – September 29 on “Spectral/hp Element Methods with Nektar++”
with speakers from Imperial College London, Newcastle University, and King’s
College London
[*] Days 2 & 3 – September 30 & October 1 on “Multiphysics Simulations with
4C & QUEENS”, led by experts from UniBw Munich, TU Munich, and Helmholtz-
Zentrum Hereon
[*] Day 4 – October 2 is on “Fluid and Solid Dynamics with OpenFOAM”
delivered by researchers at Aston University and the University of Birmingham

The event is jointly organized by the UK Association for Computational
Mechanics (UKACM) and the German Association for Computational Mechanics
(GACM).

More information, the full programme as well as the link for registration can be
found on the event website: www.ukacm-gacm-school.net
