Subject: EMS School, Kácov, Czech Republic, Jun 2025
The EMS School on Mathematical Modelling, Numerical Analysis and
Scientific Computing will be held in Kácov, Czech Republic, on
June 15 - June 20, 2025.
The aim of the school is to promote the interaction of mathematical
modeling, analysis, and computational methods used in solving complex
problems. The lectures are prepared with a broad multidisciplinary
audience in mind. Four main speakers deliver a series of three 70
minute lectures. Ample time within the school is allocated for the
promotion of scientific discussions among the participants.
The speakers of the 2025 school are:
- Johnny Guzmán (Brown University, USA)
- Daniel Kressner (EPFL, Switzerland)
- Olga Mula (TU Eindhoven, Netherlands)
- Thomas Surowiec (Simula Research Laboratory, Norway)
The school is organized under the auspices of the European
Mathematical Society (EMS) and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics,
Charles University Prague, as an activity of the Nečas Center for
Mathematical Modelling. Participants will have the possibility to give
a presentation on their work.
The deadline for registration and submission of abstracts is April 30,

The Mid-Atlantic NA Day 2024 will take place at
Temple University, Philadelphia on Friday 15 November 2024.
The purpose of this one-day meeting is to provide a forum for
Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows, i.e.,
researchers and practitioners at the very beginning of their careers,
from the Mid-Atlantic region, to exchange ideas in numerical analysis,
